The Shocking Truth About What The Cubs Really Eat

The cubs like to put out the word that they eat MIXED things ... but in the kitchen of their cave, the truth is known ... and the truth is that they like SEPARATE and DISTINCT things. Preferably tucked into little compartments. They like to be able to look at their food and know for a certainty: that is a cherry. Or: that is a carrot. They do not like to look and think: hmm that could be a mixture of 14 vegetables (and I might like only 10 of them) and 42 spices and 38 grains. No, they like to see ONE food with a little shoulder room around it.

Here you see a "plate" that Omcub will eat:

(cinnamon toast, cantaloupe, cherries, blackberries, strawberries, tomatoes, and almonds)

And here you see a meal that Arunachalacub will prowl near the table to inspect, and then give his approval to:

(mozarella cheese, milk, Joe's O's, strawberries, cinnamon toast)

And here is a meal Tirucub will eat (if very hungry ... otherwise he will just play):

(cantaloupe, strawberries, milk, Havarti with dill, cherries, naan)

And if the food comes from a serving dish, it needs to look VERY identifiable ... as in: ah that is my favourite orange pepper, sliced up by Mummy Lioness, with a little basil to go with it. OK, let's devour it!!! (This particular food is so adored by the cubs that it can lead to paws flashing forward and taking 10 slices in one swoop, hoarding them, snarling, hissing, cubtears, etc.)

Med Tig, Now tell the truth .. will Spotty just eat anything you put on his plate?

Spottykins eating habits

Well i dont know, by now, if anything will shock you folks or not (regarding Spotty).

I soahve him things in separate bowls like daal, rice and green vegetables. Or pasta, sauteed toms and onions, capsicum, roasted potatoes.

And den Spottykins mixes up everything and then eats it. And there's no question of a fawk. He sits on the flaw, and eats with his paws.

And he won't touch anything that comes in a jar or tin suspeckting it to have egg or alcohol or something even remotely made of animal poahts. He will not eat any food that comes from some cave or place where animal stuff is made. He is very strick in these matters.

However, sins your queschun is regarding what i put on his plate (read: leaf), yes, he totally trussz me.

recently like he even refoosed to eat Skippy's Peanut Butter cos he said it had chemicals in it to make it smooth. Someone got Tahini and he refoozed that too.

Like i dont know where he lorns all these things from!

But he sez he wants to be big like his brudders, biggah if possible.

I'm afraid Spotty heard that from me, about the peanut butter ... i told him: never touch a peanutbutter than contains anything otha than peanuts and salt, and he said: yes Auntie Lioness (what a polite little chap he is!). Tirucub will not touch any food that he thinks may have been cooked near meat, so praps he passed that on to Spotty. Very very strick. Of coas this never comes up in the cave kitchen, but sometimes there is an invitation to some creechur's party and to Tirucub's horror, other creatures (never the ones issuing the invitation) will be set out on a barbeque to COOK! very shuddersome.

And I do not know what that fork is doing on that nibble tray as the cubs call those yellow trays. If somebody mentions forks, the cubs say: "Bhagavan never ate with a fork," and feel the topic is closed.

That is good that Spottycutes is so truszting of you.

how the cubs get their mouffs into those milk glasses/cups beats me. Do they spill the glass and then lap it up ? Dats wot Spotty says he would do.
(Spotty hasn't yet lorned how to drink thru a straw)

Yes, they just tip over the cup or glass then lap it up quicky before it spreads too far.

We have tried straws but Omcub climbs up, gets down the whole box, fits the tip of one into another and makes one long HUGE straw aboout the length of the cave, always with unwashed paws so they all get a little dusty. I had to pretend to get fierce and say I would not buy them again if this kept on happening. Omcub was unable to resist doing it again!
