Spotty goes over for the day

Well, foast of all, let me report about the moahning. I got back in time, while Stripes was still in deep sleep. I got the leppudd toy out of his grasp, and slid in myseff. Then i gave him one big lick on his eyeses.

One lick desoahves another

He yawned hugely, and then let out a looong sigh, which like started with an "Om" and then definitely (as usual) became a distinct "Arunachala Siva".

After that he gave that looong look he gives when he takes Bhagavan's name, a look into infinity, as though aspecting Bhagavan to materialize in front of him.

Then he stretched out , bones crackling, he opined his mouth to speak, I aspected some divine woahds or names to pour out.

He said, "You smell of popcoahn. .... Delishus !!!". I laughed, as tho he just said the most rediclious thing in the woahld.

I replied, "Ok i get the message, I'll go brush".

He then said, i shall go meditate in the pond. I replied "Great idea, I'll go thank Aunt Lioness for the wonderful borthday party they hosted for you. Maybe help clear up things, too."

"I'll be back in the evening", I shouted as i was getting out of earshot, so he would not have a chance to reply.

Then i ran over to the Lionses (not from the secret passage, didn't want to leave a trail that Stripes could track).

After some cinnamon toast and other delectable treats, we decided to go over and chill on the hill. It had been a tiring day yesterday, and we ALL needed some relaxation.

Om-cub was kissing Mum Lionesses tail which had some serious bite marks on it (good work, Tiru), and chanting "Om Om" and other healing mantras.

So we strolled out leisurelily across the Arunachala Hill.

Spotty and cubs chill with Mum Lioness

If you click on the above pic, you can see Arunacub with his front paws across Mum's right front leg, and his back paws across her left front leg. Then Omcub came running in and squinched between Arunacub and Mum, taking the best and cosiest spot. Arunacub doesn't look too pleased, but is getting used to relinquishing the best place for younger Om-cub who thinks he has divine rights over it.

I am direckly behind the 2 cubs, and Omcubses tail is lashing me on the forehead and i am shutting my eyeses to proteck myseff. On the right of the pic, Tiru-cub is coming in, with his eyes focused on the 2 brudders, trying to figger out where he might squeeze in. He knows that if he duzzen get a place, he just has to pull someone's tail hard. It's amazing how effective that has been in the past, altho it has resulted in censure, but that's a worthwhile price to pay for getting close and snuggly with Mummykins. Cub-fights are an essenshul part of the machoring process of cubs.

I have told you not to go scampering away

Well, it had to happen sooner or later. Om-baby went to the bush to lift his leg. Arunacub went investigating a sound in the bush. All three got a scolding for running away without permission.

Holy Arunachala water being lapped up in unison

Mum then decided it was time we had a drink. So we all trotted over and had a nice fill of cool, holy water. It was wonderful ... four little heads lapping up together, lap, lap, lap, lap... four little tongues at work together, little earses touching each other as we imbibed. For me it was a forst.

Close-up of us for having a lap-lap

Mum and Tiru have the longest lap-lap. Tiru and Mum are still drinking. Om-cub is looking directly into the camera. It appears as tho Aruna-cub is the lookout, looking out for enemies but ackshlly he is just looking at me. I am next to him, only my paw got into this close-up. Arunacub is sitting with his shoulder rubbing against Mum Lioness's neck so he can feel the sensation of the water going down her throat.

I was delighted beyond woahds when Arunacub suggested we rest a while before retorning to our caves, and see the sunset, and Mum agreed cos that meant ...

... I got to curl up with them!

Then it was time to get up and retorn. Mum Lioness knew i was looking sad that the day with the cubses was getting over, so she immejetly said "Lets go home and have Mac* 'n cheese, fine with you, Spotty? "

"And you can call over Unca Stripes for dinner, too! He must be tired with all the pond-meditation."

I never torn down an invitation to a house that has cubs. So we trotted back happily.
