The incredible story behind Spotty's magic wand

Chapter One

A recent story was accompanied with a photograff of Spotty sporting his magic wand. This has led to a plethora of enquiries about the origin of his wand, who the wandmaker was, its age etc.

It appears that this story has been a secret until now, and we thank our readers for their interest, due which we can now enjoy this historical information. Spotty recounts:

This wand is no or'nery wand, its a very special wand with unimaginable powers. It has to be won in battle from the previous owner. Only then does it work for the new owner. It cannot thus be stolen or sold or lent or gifted. This wand was made several thousand ears ago, and its powers increases with time.

I won this wand in a month-long duel with a troll of immense proportions, who once came over from Norway (or thereabouts) to Arunachala. He was harrassing the sadhus on the hill. The people living nearby prayed to the sadhus to free them of the troll, who was eating up all the food in the city, and scaring the cattle.

The sadhus then prayed to Arunachala Siva to free them from this afflickshun. The biggest problem was the the troll had an immense wand with which he could produce the strangest of magic, never seen before. Even the sadhus did not have enough power to defeat the troll.

And so for a long time, he scared, destroyed, demolished at will. There seemed to be no end to this curse. Then one day one of the sadhus had a dream in which he saw that someone very young with a pure heart would come and defeat the troll. The troll would then leave the country for good. (to be continued)
